During lockdown, ours like many businesses are trying to adapt, we obviously cant offer table service but we can offer a take away service. We are Nicola & Ally Duncan, our vision is to give a personal yet professional service of quality, freshly prepared food in a relaxed & unpretentious pub environment.
We took up the kitchen residency at The Ram’s Head Inn, Lowton in January 2018. We have been overwhelmed by the success of our first year, securing 5* on our food hygiene inspection on 24th March 2019.
I am the welcoming face & friendly demeanour that will greet you like an old friend whether it’s your first time dining with us or you regular visit us, putting you at ease in “our house”.
Better known as Nic, I have been a chef for 17 years and in that time I have cooked for people from all walks of life as I started my career in fine dining restaurants before deciding that “proper food” in casual dining environments was where I was most comfortable.
In April 2011, I joined "The Parlour", Chorlton & took the Head Chef role in August that year, my team of chefs were young and as enthusiastic about food as I was & many of them have gone on to become successful chefs. In October 2011 I secured Runner Up For "The Parlour", In The Observer Food Awards Best Sunday Lunch Award, the following year I brought the winners title to "The Parlour".
Since then I has been involved in opening pubs, coffee shops & cafes in Manchester & Cheshire before embarking on my own business with Ally.
